Trnovo ob Soči bouldering
Trnovo ob Soči is a village in the municipality of Kobarid, located in the upper valley of the Soča river. It is known as the entry and exit point for kayakers and rafters, and increasingly also for bouldering. The area covers 8 sectors with more than 1000 bouldering problems of different styles and difficulties. There are a lot of easier boulders, which are suitable for beginners and children, and ones that are suitable for recreational climbers. We can also find boulders up to 8B difficulty and projects waiting for the strongest climbers.
About the guidebook
The climbing guide is dedicated to bouldering along the Soča river, near the village of Trnovo ob Soči in Slovenia. The boulders were first discovered by Gašper Bratina, who, together with climbers from the Gorica region, began cleaning and climbing them as early as 2009. Today, the climbing area offers more than 1000 quality bouldering problems, with some still unclimbed and waiting for the strongest climbers. In the future, we can also expect an expanded version of this guide, as potential boulders and even sectors are still being discovered.
